13.30 Registration and choice of theme
14.00 The conference will be opened by the mayor, followed by three speakers involved in various local sustainable community groups:
· Chris Church chair of London 21. London 21 Sustainability Network promotes, supports and networks community-based initiatives for a greener, healthier and more sustainable Greater London.
· Suzy Edwards of Embercombe, committed to inspiring action for a truly sustainable world
· Dave Morris of Sustainable Haringey Network, an independent informal network for everybody who wants to make Haringey a more sustainable place to be
15.00 Theme based local group discussions on what we can do locally. The likely themes will be:
· Local food
· Sustainable transport
· Creating a more sustainable local economy
· Skills and knowledge for sustainability
· Making sustainability fun
· Sustainable lifestyles
· Energy efficient buildings
15.45 Tea break, networking and find out what else is going on locally.
16.15 Local discussions based on local groupings, and community group types, to develop ideas for future action.
17.00 Final summary of the afternoon by Chris Church.
